Let me tell you a little bit about who I am and why I started this blog
My name is Aimee, I’m a 24-year-old native Southern Californian living in Portland, OR with my boyfriend. I grew up in sunny Orange County (think Laguna Beach, sunny all day every day, the smell of In-N-Out and the view of the ice-cold blue-ish green water) and lived there all my life until about one year ago.
Acting was my identity growing up — I got into it because being the younger sister that I am, I have to do everything my older sister does (at least that’s how I felt when I was younger). And since she wanted to become an actor, I also wanted to become an actor. All throughout elementary, middle, and high school I did plays and musicals in school. I hate (hate hate hate) public speaking, but no one would ever know when I’m on stage because it’s like I’m in a different world.
In high school, I became a parent for the first time. Well, I thought of myself as a parent when my mom let me and my sister get an adorable tri-color Welsh corgi; she was and still is my world whenever I get to visit her back in California. After high school, I attended the University of Southern California and loved every minute of it there. I joined organizations, worked a great job, had some invaluable internships, and fell in love. Two years out of college, I definitely miss those times but have been slowly adjusting to the “real world” as people call it.
Now, I’m on a new adventure living in Portland with my best friend, my boyfriend. It’s definitely different living here in Oregon than in Southern California, but it feels very special and like home to me.
It means a lot to me to share my thoughts and feelings here on this Internet diary if you will, and I can’t wait to talk about anything and everything with you. Specifically, you can expect that this blog will talk about beauty, cooking, dating and relationships, entrepreneurship/business, and so much more. If there’s ever any topic you think I could talk about well, please let me know.
I look forward to connecting with all of you and I can’t wait to keep building my own corner of the Internet here and seeing where it goes!
